Professor Mohammad Abul Hasnat recently participated in the AFMD 24: Advanced Functional Materials and Devices 2024 Conference at SRM Institute of Technology, Chennai, India took place between February 26 to 28, 2024 (https://afmdsrmist2024.in/). Professor Hasnat shared his experience at the conference on social media platform as:
“I have had the opportunity to participate in several big conferences before, but I have never seen such an organization like the AFMD conference. SRM is a private organization, which has built many institutions including hospitals, schools, universities to work for the development of this region (Tamil Nadu i.e. India). In India SRM Institute of Technology ranks 2nd in Private and 25th in all Indian ranking. This is the first time they have organized AFMD conference. They have invited 130 researchers from 33 countries to listen or watch their lectures so that their students and teachers can advance in modern meditation concepts in research. Here, we two Bangladeshis are invited; besides me, my Dhaka University roommate Saleh Ahmad, Professor, Department of Chemistry, Jagannath University. We are very touched that they have hoisted the Bangladesh flag at the conference venue just for us. In one word we are now representing Bangladesh. However, about one and a half thousand researchers have presented their research in this conference. AFMD and SRM authorities have not faulted any services, accommodation, food, fun, sightseeing, etc. are all covered. Salute to SRM researchers for giving such respect”.
